Job Description

About the role

We're seeking a Modern Desktop Support Officer to provide day-to-day technical support for end-user compute technologies across Landcom, while also playing a lead role in helping staff get more value from AI, Microsoft 365 and other business systems — including working directly with individuals to find use cases that lift their productivity.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide end-user compute support — troubleshooting applications, mobile devices, printing and meeting room technology, escalating complex issues as needed
  • Manage the service desk queue, logging and prioritising requests
  • Manage onboarding, offboarding and staff movements, ensuring equipment and accounts are set up accurately
  • Meet with staff one-on-one to identify how they can use AI, Microsoft and other systems to increase productivity
  • Recommend practical tools and solutions — AI and otherwise — for teams and individuals
  • Run IT inductions and productivity training sessions, both one-on-one and in groups
  • Develop and deliver training on end-user technologies, including AI tools, Microsoft 365 and other business systems, to upskill staff across Landcom
  • Keep the IT intranet and help guides up to date with current, relevant content
  • Support continuous improvement of IT services

Desired Skills and Experience

About you

  • Tertiary qualifications in IT or equivalent experience, with relevant Microsoft certifications
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft M365 (Windows, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive)
  • Demonstrated experience in running IT inductions and productivity training sessions, both one-on-one and in groups
  • Solid grounding in ITIL helpdesk principles and customer-oriented support
  • Interest and confidence in AI and other business systems, with the ability to coach individuals 1:1 and run group training
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure
