Our opportunity


We are looking for a People and Culture Business Partner to join our supportive P&C team.  In this varied role, where no two days are the same, you will be leading and supporting initiatives across the whole employee lifecycle.  This will include workforce planning, attraction and recruitment, engagement initiatives, performance development, performance management, learning and development programs, talent initiatives and reporting. In addition, you will be identifying and promoting new ways of working and empowering approaches to people management to support the delivering of business and people plans.
 

Your key responsibilities will be to:
•    Partner with divisions and senior leaders across the organisation to identify and recommend solutions to complex people problems
•    Manage and deliver end-to-end programs, processes, projects, and initiatives including the workforce plan, organisational design, engagement surveys, performance and development, and the annual recognition program.
•    Manage return to work processes in partnership with people leaders to support staff returning safely and efficiently back to engaging work from workers compensation 
•    Manage Landcom Award negotiations and provide advice on the Award including award interpretation and application to ensure accurate implementation of award in relation to legislative requirements.
•    Coach and develop people leaders to ensure they have the knowledge, skills, and support to achieve the organisation’s objectives and drive a culture of high performance, best practice, and continuous improvement. 
•    Develop and review P&C policies, guidelines, processes, and procedures ensuring they are in line with legislative and business requirements.
•    Undertake research, analysis and reporting and provide advice in forms of papers, guidelines, policy, and correspondence in relation to workforce statistics and people metrics to identify emerging people issues and trends, recommend solutions, implement improvements, and risk management strategies to optimise outcomes.
•    Support recruitment activities in partnership with People Managers. 

About you:


To be successful in this role you will have:
•    Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or, equivalent professional experience in HR.
•    Extensive demonstrated experience in providing strategic human resource management advice at a senior level along with a well-developed capacity to plan, lead, negotiate and manage organisational change.
•    Extensive experience in the development of human resource management policy and innovative strategies that drive outcomes.
•    Exceptional HR generalist knowledge across the employee lifecycle. 
•    Strong communication, collaboration, presentation, influencing and negotiation skills.
•    Strong project management skills including the ability to plan, develop and implement projects that improve HR outcomes.
•    Proven ability to use metrics and workforce management to drive impact and behavioural change.
•    High level analytic and problem-solving skills, the capacity to successfully deliver high quality outcomes and meet deadlines
